When to come, and when not to

November to March is the honest answer, but the shoulder weeks are cheaper, quieter, and only slightly warmer than you would like.
Everyone will tell you to visit between November and March, and everyone is right. What they leave out is how much the two weeks either side of that window are worth.
The shoulder weeks
Late October still touches 35°C at midday, but by five in the afternoon it is pleasant, and every coastal tour on this site runs at half the winter price. If your itinerary is evening-weighted, October is the best value month of the year.
What summer actually rules out
Not everything. Indoor and early-morning tours run all year, and the mangrove kayak is arguably better in June — the water is warm and the birds are unbothered.
