How a booking works here, what a price covers, and when you can change your mind. Where something on this site is not connected yet, this page says so and tells you what to do instead.
What works here, and what still needs a person
Real dates, not a request form
Every tour page lists the departures we actually run over the next three weeks, and the start times open on each of those days.
A cart that shows the whole number
Add a departure, set the group size, and the cart shows the total you pay and how much of it is VAT — before anything is confirmed.
A desk that answers
Phone, WhatsApp and email all reach the same booking desk, and a person reads all three.
Two things you cannot finish online yet
There is no payment service and no accounts service behind this website. We would rather name that here than let you discover it at the last step.
- Paying. Checkout runs end to end and gives you a booking reference, but no card is charged: there is no payment service behind it yet, so the booking is held with the payment pending and the desk takes the money when it confirms.
- Signing in. There is no page here that lists what you have booked. Ask the desk and they will send it to you.
Questions, answered
Everything below describes how this site behaves today, not how it will behave once the rest of it is built.
Booking
How do I book a tour?
Open the tour you want and pick a date. The list holds the departures we actually run, so nothing you can choose is a day we cannot honour. Then pick a start time and how many of you are travelling, and add it to the cart. From there, go to checkout, give your details and confirm — you get a booking reference at the end. No card is charged yet: the payment stays pending and the desk takes it when it confirms the booking.
How far ahead can I book?
Three weeks. Every tour page carries a rolling window of the departures ahead of it. For a date beyond that window, or one you cannot find in the list, ask the desk — anything outside the window is arranged by hand rather than refused.
What time do tours start?
Most days carry three departures — 09:00, 13:00 and 16:30 — and Friday is a single afternoon departure at 15:00. Times belong to each tour, so take them from that tour’s own page rather than from this one.
How many people can join one tour?
Between seven and twelve, depending on the vehicle. Every tour page states its own limit beside the group size, and the booking panel will not let you go past it. For a larger party, the contact form has a line for groups.
Do I need an account to book?
No, and there is nothing to gain from one yet. The cart works without signing in, and the sign-in page will tell you itself that accounts are not connected.
Prices and payment
What does the price include?
Every tour page carries both lists, and they differ by route. Included usually means a licensed guide, entry where the tour visits a ticketed venue, water or refreshments, and hotel pick-up and drop-off within the emirate. Not included usually means meals, gratuities and personal spending.
Is the price per person, and where is VAT?
Per person, in UAE dirhams, and the 5% VAT is already inside that figure. The cart shows how much of the total the tax accounts for rather than adding it on top, so the number on the tour page is the number you pay. Nothing is added at checkout, and nothing at the door.
How do I pay?
You can complete checkout on this site, but nothing is charged there yet: there is no payment service behind it, so the booking is recorded with the payment pending. The desk takes payment when it confirms the booking, and email is the channel that also carries invoices. When the payment step goes live it will take cards and digital wallets over a secured connection.
Is there a promotional code?
There is no code box anywhere on this site. The offers on the deals page are already priced down and apply to any tour booked here — one offer per booking, and an offer cannot be combined with a code.
Changes and cancellation
Can I cancel?
More than 48 hours before departure, yes, and the refund is the full fare — that promise is on the landing page and on every booking panel. Inside 48 hours the guide, the vehicle and any entry tickets are already committed, so how much comes back depends on the departure: call or send a WhatsApp and the desk will tell you where you stand before you decide. And because a booking is confirmed by the desk rather than on this site, a cancellation goes the same way.
Can I change the date or the number of travellers?
In the cart, before anything is confirmed: each line has a stepper for the group size, and to change a date you remove the line and add the departure you want from the tour page. Once the desk has confirmed a booking, message them instead — the same 48-hour mark applies.
What happens if the weather cancels the tour?
We rebook you, at no cost. The clearest case is the Jebel Jais summit road, which closes in high wind — that tour’s own page carries the notice — and the same holds anywhere a venue shuts or the sea is too rough to go out on. The desk contacts you and you choose another date.
On the day
Where do we meet?
Each tour names its own meeting point, and it is specific — “Louvre Abu Dhabi main entrance, 15 minutes before departure”, for one. Where hotel pick-up is included the included list says so, and the desk agrees the time with you.
What language will my guide speak?
Arabic and English on every tour. Some guides also speak French or Hindi, and each tour page lists the languages of the guide who runs it, under “Your guide”.
How long is a tour, and what should I bring?
Two to seven hours, depending on the route. The duration is on every card and at the head of every tour page, and the route section breaks it into stops with the minutes spent at each. Bring sun cover and shoes you can walk in — several of these routes are a promenade or a mountain viewing deck, not a bus window.
Custom tours
How does a custom tour work?
You choose the stops, put them in the order you want them, and the price follows from the stops and the distance between them, VAT included. The builder that does that is live on this website: the map, the stop picker and the schedule all work, and you see the whole price before you commit. It ends in a request rather than a charge — a guide replies with the price for that exact route, usually within one working day.
Can I adjust one of your existing tours instead?
Usually. Most tours in the catalogue are marked customisable, and all of them are small enough to bend on the day — a stop swapped, an hour moved. A custom tour is for when you want a different set of stops altogether.
This site
Why did my cart empty?
The cart is kept in this browser rather than in an account. That is why it survives a reload and stays in step across two tabs — and also why clearing your site data, or opening the site in a private window or on another device, starts an empty one. When accounts are connected the cart will follow you instead.
The site opened in the wrong language.
Every page exists at two addresses, one Arabic and one English, and the toggle in the header moves between them without losing your place. A first visit takes the language from your browser’s own setting, with Arabic breaking the tie.
Can anything charge me by accident?
No. Nothing on this site can take a payment — there is no payment service connected to it at all. The cart is a list, not an order, and it is only in your own browser.
Still stuck?
If the answer is not on this page, a person will be quicker than another page.
