Privacy policy
What we collect when you book or get in touch, what we do with it, what your browser stores, and how to ask for a copy of your data or have it deleted.
Last updated
This document is a draft and is not yet in force.
The wording below has not been reviewed or approved, and nothing in it binds either of us. Please do not rely on it. For anything that matters right now — a cancellation, a refund, what we hold about you — contact us and a person will answer.
What this covers
This policy covers the Tour Estate website and the bookings made through it. It is written by PS Tours, who decides what happens to the information described below.
It does not cover a site we link to. A museum, a developer or a social network you reach from here runs on its own terms.
What we collect
Your name, the way to reach you, and the tours you book: the date, the meeting point, the number of travellers, and anything you told us that the day depends on — a mobility need, an allergy, the name that has to appear on a ticket.
If you write to us we keep the message and our reply, because a complaint or a refund is settled against what was actually said.
Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers. What reaches us is the last four digits and whether the payment succeeded.
Why we use it
To confirm and run your booking, to reach you about a tour you have booked, to take payment and issue a refund, and to keep the records a business is required to keep.
We write to you about offers only if you asked us to, and every one of those messages carries a way to stop them.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as a business has to keep them for its accounts. Everything else — an enquiry that never became a booking, a note attached to a tour that has already run — is kept while it is useful and then deleted.
How it is protected
The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to booking records is limited to the people who need it to do their work, and card details never sit on our systems at all.
Nobody can promise that a system cannot be breached. What we can promise is what we would do about it: tell you, and tell you quickly.
Your choices
You may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Write to hello@tourestate.com and say which of those you want.
We will answer, and we will not charge you for asking. Where we cannot delete something — a paid booking that sits on an invoice, for instance — we will tell you what is left and why.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from one. A booking that includes a child is made by the adult responsible for them, and it is that adult we deal with.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy. The version on this page is always the current one, and the date above it is the date it was last revised. Where a change matters to a decision you have already made, we will say so rather than leave you to notice.
Contact for data requests
Every request about your data goes to one address: hello@tourestate.com. If a matter is urgent, call +971 2 555 0148 — the office answers Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 Gulf Standard Time.
The other policies
These documents are written to be read together. If one of them does not answer your question, another one probably does — and if none of them does, write to us.
